Elijah Andrews is a professional guide and instructor with 20 years of experience leading and teaching in nature and backcountry wilderness. He comes to Ross Recreation with a B.A. in Child Development, specializing in Recreational Administration with an emphasis on Leadership Studies. Elijah is an outdoor enthusiast, his personal adventures include kayaking, backpacking, biking, surfing, sailing and kitesurfing. His personal passions also include world travel, cooking, playing guitar and singing, fishing, carpentry, sewing and crafting. His diverse skills allow him to connect with landscapes and natural forces in engaging and distinctive ways.
Elijah strives to bring an innovative approach to his work in child development through nature connection. As an avid naturalist and wildlife observer, he constantly seeks to teach and promote understanding of local ecosystems. He excels at fostering a deep connection between people and nature, imparting essential skills for outdoor recreation while promoting a healthy, positive, and proactive lifestyle. His outdoor leadership always has a strong focus on risk management and group safety, both physically and emotionally. Elijah looks forward to sharing his love for life and the outdoors, and especially to helping provide an unforgettable positive nature experiences for the children joining Wilderness Adventure Camp.
