Carpentry for Kids is an education enrichment program for K-8 designed to teach boys and girls practical woodworking skills with an emphasis on the safe use of hand tools. These skills include measuring, fractions, sawing, drilling, rasping, fastening, sanding, shaping, and assembly. In the process of learning these skills, students will have an opportunity to create fun, functional and beautiful projects, and will be exposed to a variety of valuable concepts such as abstract reasoning, applied mathematics, problem solving, craftsmanship, fine motor skills, respect for tools, and patience. This rich opportunity for learning is created by the students' motivation to use tools, and create fun projects.
All experience levels!!
Returning students will learn more advanced skills, create different projects, and be introduced to new tools.

Summer school classes are being offered with curriculum selected and taught by Ross School teachers to provide targeted instruction based on the skills students will need to help them make a successful transition into the upcoming school year. Whether you are helping your child combat the "summer fog" that occurs during the long vacation or taking advantage of the break from regularly scheduled classes to provide extra help or enrichment, Ross Recreation has an exciting program to assist you in these efforts. In addition to building math and language arts readiness, students will learn study strategies to assist them with executive function skills.

Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, and use these resources to build special items to help in our adventures! Build a Zoo, create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House Village! This LEGO experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO.

Holly's Hoppin' Summer Camp
Marin Theatre Company camps focus on social and artistic development through creative drama, improvisation, and theatre games. There will be a “Shareformance” on the last day of each camp for campers to showcase what they’ve learned. Parents and family members are welcome and encouraged to attend the “Shareformance.”

Marin Theatre Company Acting Camp
Your little ones get to go to camp just like their big brothers and sisters! They will learn new things and make new friends. Each day brings a exciting adventure to stimulate young imaginations and nourish their individual creativity.
Our days include art, music, singing, physical activity and lots of fun and laughter. Each week is built around a new theme with age appropriate arts & crafts. Our themes this year include: A Pirate's Life, On Safari, Underwater Adventure, The Art of Sound and Music, Dinosaurs, and Rainforest Adventure! Designed to provide a great transition from preschool to Kindergarten and encourage the love for learning in your child. Let's get them excited to go to school, by having a blast at Kinder Camp! Kinder Camp Information & Registration
Marin Explorers camp is a hands-on excursion camp where children learn by exploring the Bay Area's "out-of-the-way" places. This year they will explore some less common locations like Agate Beach, and Tilden Park. They will have a chance to get in touch with their wild side as they learn about Guide Dogs for the Blind, and trek through the Oakland Zoo. How about practicing your balance at the Yerba Buena Ice Skating Rink? Many new and exciting adventures await. Your child will be in the expert hands of Holly Salamun and Marty Ross, who are thrilled to be offering this popular and unique camp experience!
If you can't decide which sport you like the most, than Top Gun Sports Camp is the camp for you. You don't need to pick baseball over soccer, flag football over dodgeball, basketball over lacrosse or swimming; we have them all and you can play nonstop in this unique camp that is a sporty kid's dream. Adding to the summer fun is a Wednesday sports-themed excursion!
This year, Adventure Camp is undergoing some fun and exciting new changes, which means some fun and exciting new destinations! Some of the favorites remain, like Driven Raceway, Six Flags and Water World. But new adventures await your camper at locations like: Oakland Ice Rink, EpiCenter, Rebounderz, Sonoma Ropes and Zip Line, and the awesome Paintball Jungle. We will be adding in a throwback trip to Angel Island as well. Wednesdays are now a home-base day for some on-site camp fun and to provide a mid-week break from traveling. Scavenger hunts, water fights, relay races, local hiking and fishing outings, massive slip and slides and mini olympic tournaments will keep the fun going.
This ever popular camp is for girls who LOVE sports! In this exciting and fun camp, we will teach girls how to play lacrosse, soccer, softball, basketball and more! Campers will learn the skills needed to excel in these sports through basic drills, games, and fun competitions. Girls will emerge from this camp with new techniques and confidence that they can apply to their regular sports season. Have fun while learning new skills and sports. "Girl Power!"
This year our lead counselor will be Cassis Schafer (Jean Marc's star athlete daughter)! She is enthusiastic about all sports and is looking forward to leading the camp this summer!
Sporty Girls Information & Registration
This camp is designed to introduce lacrosse in a fun and safe environment. Each session will begin with "drills and skills" that will help players work on the fundamentals of the game including: cradling, scooping, shooting and catching. Each session concludes with games to reward players for their participation. All West Lacrosse staff encourages each child, building self-confidence as they develop eye-hand coordination. Teamwork, good sportsmanship and "living RAE" (Respect, Attitude, Effort) are reinforced in this active program.

Register for Boys Lacrosse Camp
Ross Recreation is conducting a 3-day camp designed for players new to the sport. Our goal is to teach basic skills and game fundamentals while having fun scrimmaging and being active. This is a great opportunity for players to gain exposure to field hockey, as they think about what sports to pursue in high school. Field hockey is a new team sport to many Bay Area high schools, which means more girls have the chance to make a high school team and build lasting friendships!
Camp will be led by coach Aline Copp. Aline is a former Harvard University NCAA Division I varsity field hockey player and is currently coaching at the high school level in Marin.

Take your game to a new level at Caren Horstmeyer's Girls Basketball Camp! Caren is a former Cal Bears Woman's Coach planning beginner to advanced activities, designed for all who attend. Girls will improve skills, expand their proficiencies and have FUN - all while gaining positive leadership skills that lead to success on and off the court.
Girls Basketball 3-Day Clinic
Join the BEST basketball coaches in Marin located at Redwood High School for Giants Basketball Camp! Girls and boys grades 2-8 are welcome. Campers will be divided into groups based on grade and skill level. The focus of this camp will be on basketball and personal development. We will focus on positive attitude, energy, teamwork, dribbling, ball handling, shooting, rebounding, passing, 1-on-1 moves, post moves, and "defense, defense, and more defense." Each day will consist of skill development and competitive games.

Join Tennis in Marin for fun classes this summer! Ross Recreation is offering Junior Tennis Mini Camps for kids between the ages of 5-14. Tennis in Marin coaches in conjunction with the USTA have now been using modified tennis balls, court sizes and smaller rackets with great success! Introduction to tennis with simple activities and games that produce both fun and early motor skill development. Participants will use special equipment designed for each age group.
